Simply Recipes

Elise's Sacramento-based blog Simply Recipes is a great one-stop resource when you just need a recipe to cook, dammit.

There are a lot of cooking blogs out there that are breathtakingly gorgeous, but completely useless for your own cooking experience. Not so with Elise's site. Each entry is to the point with a picture right there to show you what is what. The practical nature of this blog is downright refreshing.

I love just popping in to her Sacramento-based blog and seeing what she's posted in the last few days and getting an inspiration for my own cooking that week.

She boasts a voluminous recipe archive so it is also worth your while to look up dishes you already know and taking a look at a new way to cook it. That endeavor inevitably leads me to following culinary tangents and making cooking discoveries I never would have dreamed of otherwise.

Bottom line, Simply Recipes, is a lot of fun. I say check it out.
