Goal Pace Run

Comments: Even though I didn't do as many of the mile intervals as I intended yesterday, I sure as hell was feeling the ones I did when I got up today. I was a little concerned the soreness would limit my planned six mile tempo/goal pace run today and it did but not too much.
Since I wasn't sure how my legs would respond, I did the first mile more like a warm up and accelerated a bit at the end as I got more confident of how I was feeling. After that I tried to keep the pace in the 8 min/mi range and did pretty well except for mile three for some reason.
I did mile four and five at 7:55 on the nose but that just about did me in. I stopped for a few minutes to get my breath and did the last mile as a cool-down that was only slightly slower than the warm-up mile. While I didn't have the consistency keeping to the goal pace I wanted (nor the speed I'm shooting for) none of my miles came in over 8:30 which is a pretty good start for these efforts.
